iOS 4.2.1 Tethered Jailbreak Available

Windows/Mac: If you're in a hurry to jailbreak your iOS 4.2.1 device, the iPhone Dev-Team (they're the band of hackers regularly releasing the best jailbreaking tools) has already released a Windows and Mac version of jailbreaking tool redsn0w that jailbreaks devices running 4.2.1. The catch: It's currently a "tethered" jailbreak, meaning "that each time your device loses battery power or needs to be rebooted, you must attach it to a PC or Mac to boot into the jailbroken state" Unless you're in a huge hurry to jailbreak, you're probably best off waiting. hi guys,I tried redsn0w to jailbreak my 3gs 4.2.1
but it seams that cydia isn't yet compatible, it wont work at all just you see a blank icon for cydia and you cannot even lunch it, so just wait to a new jailbreaking tools, i had to downgrade to 4.1( with my saved SHSH trough umbrella...)
    Good Luck.

Can u downgrade with someone else's saved shsh blob? I never knew to save mine before I updated mine :( I need help! Not only is this annoying but the new redsnow beta 2 for untethered jail break, can't find a link ANYWHERE it jus comes up 401 link not found! Also I tied to download the tiny umbrella on my Mac and it downloaded but wudnt run.. So yeah I'm stuck.. Help me?? Please :)

To use the installed cydia icon you will need to run redsn0w again, choose your firmware and then select "just boot tethered right now". Click on next until it asks you to put it in DFU mode. Once in DFU mode let redsn0w do its thing and when your iphone restarts try starting cydia again. It should work.
