HTTPS Everywhere Updates With More Protection Against Firesheep

Firefox: To better protect users from falling victim to Firesheep, the Electronic Frontier Foundation has released an updated version of their previously mentioned Firefox extension HTTPS Everywhere.

The extension now provides added HTTPS protection by default when you browse to, Cisco, Dropbox, Evernote, and GitHub (in addition to all the services it was already redirecting).

  • And for those using Chrome, as myself, you can use “KB SSL Enforcer”, automatically forces HTTPS where available. I’d be making sure all your search traffic is encrypted too by changing over to Google SSL Web Search beta…if you use Google that is 🙂
