Vodafone Has Half-Price Contracts On Older Mobile Phones

If you’re not fussed about your smart phone being the latest and greatest, Vodafone is offering 12 months of half-price caps for a bunch of phones on 24-month contracts between now and the end of November.

Unsurprisingly, there’s not an iPhone or Android model to be seen in the bunch, but there are a handful of older BlackBerry designs on offer, as well as some more obscure choices from other manufacturers. The $29 cap Vodafone is promoting with those models only offers a fairly measly 200MB of data, though if you get BlackBerry Internet service as part of the bundle (which normally isn’t totalled against your data inclusions when browsing or using email) that might actually be adequate. While I’d generally advise getting the newest phone you can when signing a long-term contract, this offer might appeal to less tech-addled friends.
