eBay insertion fees feature in our list of things you should never pay full price for, but it's actually been quite a while since the auction site ran a general insertion fee promo. This weekend, it isn't charging any fees for items listed with a starting price of 99 cents or less.
I suspect one reason for the reduction in discount listing options is that the availability of free local listings makes them less necessary. As we've noted before, this deal only represents an effective saving of 30 cents. However, if that's enough incentive for you to go into a listing frenzy and clear some clutter, it's a welcome development.
