Chrome: Zoomy is a small Chrome extension that automatically enlarges websites to fill the available screen space. Whether you’re trying to read small text more comfortably or you’re tired of the massive page gutters on your widescreen monitor, Zoomy can help.
Zoomy automatically enlarges websites so the body of the site takes up the entire width of the available browsing pane instead of remaining small and centred in a sea of empty space. You can leave it to automatically enlarge each page or customise the enlarging on a site by site basis if full-panel enlargement is a bit too much. An exemption list provides easy overriding for sites where zooming decreases the quality of your browsing experience — enlarging the thumbnails in Google Images, for example, makes the thumbnails quite blocky.
Zoomy is free and works wherever Chrome does. Have a favourite application for increasing browsing comfort and usability? Let’s hear about it in the comments.
