The Gaia ’10 Linux Desktop

Reader gabriela2400’s desktop uses the Gaia customisation set to completely revamp the Linux interface into a beautiful work of art, complete with wallpapers, icons and a custom GTK theme.

The desktop is comprised of the following elements, most of which can be downloaded from the Gaia web site:

  • Operating System: Ubuntu 10.04
  • Gtk and Emerald theme: Sprout
  • Wallpaper: See The World
  • Custom Pidgin iconset
  • Covergloobus by me
  • Conky: 5 individual custom configs
  • AWN: Skin by me
  • Dock icons: Gaia Icons

This desktop not your style? Why waste time complaining? Instead, get started creating your own killer desktop with the easy-install Rainmeter 1.2 package and show the world what you can do. Of course, using Rainmeter isn’t a requirement — you are more than welcome to use any of the best desktop customisation tools to turn your desktop into a productive work of art.
