Springpad, the capture and clipping service that's developing into a strong Evernote alternative, has rolled out its Alerts function to iOS devices. That means you get notified of price drops, coupons and deals good today and other time-sensitive stuff you've clipped.
The memory-enhancing service's alerts were previously available through Android only, but now iPhone and iPad users can get reminders related to stuff they've sent to Springpad. Android users on 2.2 get another exclusive feature, though, in the form of push notifications you can have sent from the site or its brand new Chrome extension. That also means that gift ideas you've tucked away for a friend can be set to push themselves to you closer to the friend's actual birthday — a handy little feature for the forgetful.
Springpad's service and apps are free and require a sign-up to use.
