Hotmail has updated its security features to help further safeguard your account against phishing attacks and hijacking attempts with mobile phone number verification and trusted computers.
Hotmail now has a three-prong security system in place. The first prong is the original alternative email system which is now joined by mobile phone verification — available for users inside and outside of the US — and a “trusted PC” system. Users running Windows and using Windows Live Essentials can link their PC to their Hotmail account for an added layer of identity verification.
