Auslan Tutor Teaches Basic Sign Language

Auslan is the main means of communicating for many hearing-impaired people in Australia. If you fancy learning some basic signs and the alphabet used for spelling in Auslan, the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children offer an iPhone and iPad app that walks through 150 common words.

As Nick over at Gizmodo notes, there's a full-featured Auslan app available for the iPhone, but it costs $50. If you're just looking to acquire some basics for occasional communication, this could be a very useful resource.
