Set Up Keyboard Shortcuts To Easily Change Text Case

Mac OS X: Change Case, a free addition to the often-neglected services menu, takes the work out of changing the case of your text.

Change Case works with any service-aware application in OS X. All you have to do is select some text and choose (from the services menu) how you want to alter it. You can save a lot of time fixing titles or run the Sentence Case option on emails before you send them for better formatting. Using the services menu each time you want to make an alteration can be a little cumbersome, but fortunately OS X allows you to assign keyboard shortcuts to services.

Note: After downloading and installing Change Case you'll need to log out and back in to your account for OS X.

You can change your services preferences by going into System Preferences, choosing Keyboard, and then selecting the Keyboard Shortcuts tab. Select Services on the left side and then scroll down until you find the Change Case services. From there you can double-click to the right of the service title and enter the keyboard shortcut you'd like to use.

Now that you're all set up, go select some text in any service-aware application and give it a try!
