Readers offer their best tips for tracking receipts with Picasa and quickening window animations when Firefox goes full screen.
About the Tips Box: Every day we receive boatloads of great reader tips in our inbox, but for various reasons — maybe they're a bit too niche, maybe we couldn't find a good way to present it, or maybe we just couldn't fit it in — the tip didn't make the front page. Take Pictures of Receipts to Catalogue Them in Picasa

Xnotion shares his preferred cataloguing method for receipts:
I recently started using Picasa web albums with my Android phone to keep track of receipts. I simply take a picture of the receipt, click "share"and then select Picasa. Then I delete the pics from my phone. Later, when I need to view them, I simply log into my Google account and visit Picasa web albums, where all my receipts are categorised by date, and, if I enabled it, GPS location.
Quicken Full Screen Animations in Firefox
Prairie Moon tells us how to hide the toolbar faster when going into Firefox's full-screen mode:
This could be more of a cosmetic tweak than practical.
browser.fullscreen.animateUp is an integer value in about:config. It changes the speed at which toolbars slide up and down when you've pressed F11 to enter or leave fullscreen mode.
0 makes the toolbars get gone fairly quickly. 1 and 2 produce a more leisurely, sliding effect. 2 is less desirable, as it could make for a "choppy" slide-away, as Mozilla puts it.
Note also that browser.fullscreen.autohide (boolean) must be set to True for this to work.
Use Old iMac Boxes for Easy Moving

Craiglloyd shares a quick tip for moving Apple fans:
Here's a neat tip for the next time you move: If you can, try to grab a few empty Apple iMac boxes. These are perfect for moving because they fit a whole lot of stuff and it has a nice convenient handle at the top. I managed to fit all my clothes in one box. My university upgraded to iMacs so I managed to grab around five boxes from them for free.
