DuckCapture excels by offering capturing of not only scrolling regions, like lengthy web pages, but also multi-page documents. Whether your capture region is tall, wide or segmented into multiple pages, DuckCapture can copy the capture to your clipboard or save it as a PNG file.

PicPick is my favourite this year: http://www.picpick.org/
Free for personal use, heaps of features and options. Some features: Image editor, Pixel rulers, Colour picker, screen magnifier.

I use the Google Chrome browser exclusively nowadays. I have found the "Screen Capture (by Google)" extension does a great job in capturing all sorts of web pages.
