Beadboard And White Spaces: A Comfy Home Office

When you find yourself with an office tucked into a small or out-of-the-way space, you often sacrifice natural light in the process. Today's featured workspace sports a wall of windows and lots of diffuse natural light.

Lifehacker reader cspiegl has an interesting home office. The ceiling, covered in beadboard, is heavily sloped. Normally that would close a space in pretty quickly but a combination of white paint and an entire wall of windows nearby helps bounce a huge amount of natural light into the room. In additional to the white walls a spacious white desk gives the area an open and clean feel. Red accents, provided by the chair and the cabinets, keep the room from feeling tool sterile and add just the right dash of colour to contrast the white desk, walls and equipment.
