Google Says Chrome OS Set To Arrive Later This Year

The head of Google's Chrome OS project said the netbook-focused operating system would make its debut in the fourth quarter of 2010, at a trade show in Taiwan.

That's about the same time frame suggested when Google announced and previewed Chrome OS in November 2009, and the pitch remains the same — a light, fast-booting netbook OS that uses the Chrome browser to get most things done, through cloud-based applications.
