If you’d like your feed reader to have a little more style and flash to it than you’ve found elsewhere, Good Noows is a polished feed reader with an emphasis on presentation and social networking.
Good Noows doesn’t have a separate login; you use your Twitter, Facebook, Google, Yahoo! or LinkedIn login to set up your Good Noows account. You can populate Good Noows by pulling from various categories like Culture and Entertainment, Travel, Health and so on. Unfortunately Good Noows doesn’t support importing your own XML file but you can add your own feeds one by one — a likely deal breaker for power users.
You can select between nine layouts which vary in story placement and amount of information show — ranging from a traditional newspaper layout to a more spartan ticker-style list. Eye catching layouts aside, Good News has a heavy emphasis on social networking. You can easily share stories you find via Facebook, Twitter, Buzz, Yahoo and email. Good Nows also has a built-in chat client powered by Meebo that taps into Facebook chat, AIM, Myspace IM and GTalk. Good Noows is a free service and requires basic approval through your Twitter, Facebook, Google, Yahoo! or LinkedIn accounts.
