If you're looking for a way to transfer large files that's both hassle free and a pleasure to look at, WeTransfer is a user friendly and free file-transfer service.
File transfer services tend to be distinctly not user friendly. From ugly and hard to navigate interfaces to forced wait times to annoying captcha and more wait times, it's not a whole lot of fun to be the sender or receiver. WeTransfer strives to eliminate the hassle of transferring files that are too big to fit in an email. You can select as many files as you want to send at one time — as long as you stay below the 2GB per transfer cap — and send an email notice to 1-20 recipients with a note attached. During our test upload, times were speedy and the email notification was dispatched quickly to our recipient. Files are held for 14 days before deletion.
The final feature, while not speed enhancing or mission critical, is a nice one when compared to the bland interfaces of most file sharing sites. WeTransfer rotates the background of the site as you use the site so while you're waiting for your files to upload you get a constantly refreshing stream of interesting images to look at.
