Python is the development language behind many a favourite geek web app. If you want to dive deeper into the world of Python, PyCon AU 2010 -- running in Sydney on June 26 and 27 -- sounds like a sensible place to be.
Like Lifehacker's perennial favourite conference Linux.conf.au, PyCon is entirely run by volunteers, so the corporate rubbish factor is low and the technical information factor is high. Lifehacker plans on attending, if only to be reminded of how sloppy our programming skills have become. Hit the link for more information.
