Earlier this month we shared a DIY touchscreen stylus for the iPad. That build was clever but unfinished looking. This version is polished and what commercial manufacturers should be bringing to market.
As clever as the last DIY stylus was it has wires, tape and a cheap plastic body to contend with. It was functional but not very pretty and not interchangeable. The DIY stylus in the video above has no wire or tape — the body of the stylus itself is conductive — and has an ingenious method for swapping out different sized tips if you are inclined to use the iPad for sketching. Normally when someone calls their idea "the ultimate" we take it with a grain of salt but in the case of Crabfu's DIY iPad stylus he did an excellent job giving his stylus the weight and comfort of a real pen with the conductive abilities of touchscreen stylus and skipped the whole too stubby/lightweight issue that plagues nearly every stylus on the market.
