If you don't have the steadiest hands around, things like soldering, painting and playing Operation can be difficult. Luckily, with just a few coat hooks, you can make your own ergonomic tool handles to keep your hands comfortable and steady.
We do a lot of DIY stuff here at Lifehacker; this is a DIY project that will make the rest of your DIY projects easier to pull off. Based off the same idea as the left-handed dSLR attachment, this mod helps you get a better grip on any object that requires a steady hand to use.
All you really need are some coat hooks and nylon tie-wraps to affix them to the tool of choice. If you prefer, you could also use something like electrical tape, insulation or putty to then reshape the tool's handle a bit more comfortably. The instructions even detail a few different ways to affix the hooks, depending on what's more comfortable for you (and what kind of tool you're modding).
Let us know what you use to steady your hands when you're in workshop mode in the comments.
