Headphones have a tendency to clutter up your desk, but if you use them regularly, it's a hassle to constantly pack them up. Reader HeadsetChatter suggests keeping your headset tucked away for easy access by screwing a coat hook underneath your desk.
A simple way I keep my headphones out of the way at my desk is to screw a coat hook to the underside of the desk (as shown). It is designed to hang down, as opposed to from a wall.
The double-sided hook I have works well because the headset goes on one side, and the excess cable can be neatly coiled on the other. This way, everything is very close at hand, but out of the way and not tangled. The headset can be left unplugged if you move it a lot, or the cord can be run neatly up the back of your desk to your computer or other device for more permanent use.
I have two of these under my desk. This lightweight one works for the laptop and TV, and I have a gaming headset which is permanently plugged into my PC.
