Wikipedia Companion Adds Mini Browser To Google Chrome

Chrome: Searching random bits of Wikipedia information usually involves abandoning your current page and/or opening up a new tab. Wikipedia Companion, a Google Chrome extension, gives you Wikipedia access via a small drop-down window for quick-reference look-ups.

Wikipedia Companion adds a button next to your Chrome address bar that allows you to quickly search Wikipedia right on top of your active window. You can clear the browsing history and go back and forth between different articles. If the window isn't big enough, you can tweak it to Wide mode in settings, or open up a completely new tab. Language configuration between multiple languages is also possible. Wikipedia Companion is a free download for Google Chrome only.

The problem with Wikipedia Companion (and the reason I uninstalled it) is that it uses Wikipedia's search engine, which is only useful if you know the name of the article you're looking for. It doesn't tend to return results which are related to the keywords used in your search query, unless they happen to be the name of the article.
