Use A Dry-Erase Marker To Leave High-Visibility Reminders

Task lists are great but sometimes you want a reminder that's right in front of your face to be absolutely certain you don't forget something on the way to the office. Use a dry erase marker to leave yourself a mirror-note.

Lifehacker reader ayellen shared a great, if unconventional, use for dry-erase markers:

I write my to-do list on my mirror. This way, every time I walk by the mirror, I see what I have to do. And the only thing more satisfying than crossing something off a to-do list is being able to watch yourself smile while doing it.

We tested the trick out by writing on a bathroom mirror — see above — and expanding it by writing on a glass door. If you're short a glass door to write on you'll just have to go the traditional route and stick a small dry-erase board on the door.

Have a clever trick for jogging your memory — especially during rushed mornings? Let's hear about it in the comments. Thanks ayellen!

Use the same markers to write directly onto the fridge. Saves buying and mounting a little fridge white board.

My wife and I have been doing this for quite some time. We have large frosted glass areas between the living areas and rooms etc, so they have become our notes and planning boards, as well as the fridge and bathroom mirrors...and sometimes each others car windows :) I cant stress enough though to ensure you actually have a dry-erase in your hand before writing lol.

Works great on glass and mirrors.

Make sure you test in an inconspicuous area before writing all over your fridge. It is not coming off of mine...
