The ABC’s Next Online Step: Net-Only Drama

I’m the first to admit it: Lifehacker goes on about the ABC’s infinite superiority when it comes to online broadcasting quite a lot. Now the national broadcaster is making another innovative move, planning an online-only interactive drama.

Lara Sinclair at the Australian notes that the new show, Bluebird AR, follows other ABC online projects such as Gallipoli: The First Day. It incorporates specially shot footage, but won’t have any broadcast component, evolving instead on a series of existing sites over six weeks, as well as on a series of dedicated sites.
