Web-based tools for downloading YouTube videos abound but smaller video sites are often neglected. Savevideo.me works on YouTube and a half-dozen other sites for easy one-click downloads.
Visit Savevideo.me, plug in the URL for a video on YouTube, Dailymotion, Metacafe, Veoh, Flickr, Google Videos, or Blip.tv and click download. A list of available formats based on the source video descends from the URL box with accompanying resolution data. Click on the format and resolution you want, save the file, and you're done. It's not a revolutionary interface by any measure but it offers significantly more formats than the plethora of YouTube-only ripping sites.
Savevideo.me is a free service and requires no registration. Want to use your own tools and tricks to rip flash video? Check out our complete guide to ripping flash video to get started. Have a favourite tool of your own to share? Let's hear about it in the comments.
