Windows: If you'd been enamoured with the idea of TuneUp — brilliant and speedy correction of music tags and cover art — but not so enamoured with having to use iTunes, TuneUp is now available for Windows Media Player.
TuneUp is a fantastic program for sorting out a messy music collection. If you've got mislabelled and unlabelled music, missing cover art, sloppy track numbers and other issues that plague a large and poorly organised media collection, TuneUp can help. Previously only available for iTunes on Windows and Macs, it's now available for Windows Media Player too.
The following video demonstrates the TuneUp with iTunes but the add-on for Windows Media Player functions in exactly the same way:
Just like the prior iTunes-only version the current version of TuneUp isn't free. You can download it, try it out — the trial lasts for 100 song clean-ups and 50 cover art corrections — and then purchase it for $US29.95. Be forewarned that if you give it a try you'll likely be buying it — I bought a copy the last time we reviewed it.
