As we've learned time and again, the best way to make do with little space is to suspend things in the air. Weblog IKEA Hacker uses this solution (and some unlikely materials) to create a hanging liquor bar and wine glass holder.
The IKEA Asker rail is fantastic for suspending anything on empty wall space; the surprising part of this hack comes from the shelf for the liquor, actually a set of Asker dish drainers. Alone, each is simple, but together, they create a space-saving, efficient liquor bar—and the addition of wine glass racks screwed to the bottom makes sure that every inch of that newly-available space is well used.
Unlike lots of IKEA hacks, this one isn't super cheap—the dish drainers alone are fairly expensive, totalling about $US90 in this hacker's case (they're small enough that you'll need a few for a decent shelf). It still is, however, one of the cheaper options out there, and if you don't have the space, then you've got to do the best you can with what you've got. Got any other clever space-saving wall hacks?
