Before you start drilling into the wall, it's crucial to think about all aspects of mounting a TV, or it could be a home project gone awry. When purchasing a mount, home tech blog Unpluggd suggests five factors to consider: price, weight support, screen size support, equipment for proper levelling and mounting, and of course studs in the right places — lest you end up with a big hole in your wall.
From the price perspective, website Electronic House pitted an inexpensive $US15 mount vs a pricey $US110 mount and found that their $US15 option was just as good (with a few qualifications), so don't empty your wallet before you do your homework.
