ABC Launches iView Widget

Web widgets aren’t always that handy, but the ABC’s iView catchup service holds a special place in Lifehacker’s heart (and in the hearts of many viewers), so any new way to access that content is welcome. If you fancy making iView content easily accessible on your own web site, or perhaps embedding it on your desktop, the iView widget is just the ticket.

To add the widget, which lists the latest programs available on the service and allows you to launch them for playback, simply click on the version on the ABC site and choose the appropriate embed or post option. It’s hardly essential to using the service, but it might be a neat way of reminding yourself of newly-arrived content on the platform.
