We've featured a number of things to do with old books, but what better use for an old book than turning into a new book? Craft blog Craftzine highlights the best way to turn an old book into a new, blank journal.
While old books certainly have their value, once a certain number of pages have fallen out the only value that's really left is sentimental. The nice part of this project is that it applies that value to something else, that you can make as personal as you want. All this project requires is an old book, some paper, scissors, a sewing needle with a fairly large eye, and some embroidery thread. You'll have to sew the pages together, but you'll be happy you did—your pages will stay together nicely within the book, without looking as awful as most of the other options. Unless you have a book binding machine, sewing is probably the next best option. Hit the link for the full instructions. Got any other crafty uses for old books? Let us know in the comments!
