Nozbe, a web-based task manager with a serious Getting Things Done setup, has made a smart move by integrating capture tool Evernote. Grab something in Evernote, tag it with your project name and it shows up in your Nozbe project list.
Nozbe founder Michael Sliwinski writes at Evernote’s blog that he realised, while remodelling an apartment, that he was using both Nozbe for tracking his progress on tasks and goals, and using Evernote to visually record progress and explain what needed doing. He set up a system to combine the two, so that simply tagging a new Evernote note with your Nozbe project name will cause it to show up whenever you’re logged into Nozbe and viewing your projects.
Nozbe offers free accounts with up to five simultaneous projects for personal users, along with paid plans priced for very small and mid-sized businesses. Here’s hoping other to-do systems pick up his Evernote API ingenuity, because that kind of marriage seems to make a lot of sense.
