# 20% Off iTunes Cards At Coles Express, Dick Smith

4

Between March 16 and April 6, Coles Express petrol outlets in NSW and the ACT are offering 20% off iTunes cards. It’s a bit fiddlier than a typical iTunes deal, as you need to print a voucher from the Coles Express site, but the level of savings is also higher than the usual \$40-worth-for-\$30 offer. If the printing sounds like too much of a hassle, Dick Smith is also offering 20% off until March 30. [Coles Express via OzBargain; Dick Smith via OzBargain]

umm…the level of saving is NOT higher

the usual \$30 for \$40 worth is a 25% discount

• Isn’t it slightly less savings than the \$40 for \$30? If you purchased \$40 worth, you’d get 20% off, which is \$8, making the purchase price \$32, which is \$2 more than the usual offer.

“the level of savings is also higher than the usual \$40-worth-for-\$30 offer”

Is my math failing me, or is that sentence wrong?

20% off \$20 x 2 = a saving of \$8
\$40 for \$30 = a saving of \$10

However, it is better than “the usual \$60-worth-for-\$50 offer”.

20% off \$30 x 2 = a saving of \$12
\$60 for \$50 = a saving of \$10

… but obviously not better than the unusual \$60-worth-for-\$40 offer (you save \$20).

Sorry for being pedantic.
