We’ve spent a lot of time talking about mandatory Internet censorship on Lifehacker recently, but it’s worth remembering that games are already subject to different-to-everything-else rules. Public submissions on the Attorney-General’s enquiry into that issue close on February 28, so don’t miss the chance to express your view.
Our sibling site Kotaku has been running submissions from its readers, which provide a useful resource for exploring the topic. Even if you’re not a games addict, it seems ridiculous that this vibrant and creative sector is subject to entirely different and more restrictive rules to other media, especially as the main basis for that argument — that games are aimed primarily and exclusively at kids — is, quite simply, utter bilge.
