Apple Replacing Hard Drives On Old MacBooks For Free

If you bought a MacBook sometime between 2006 and 2007, your gear could be eligible for a free hard drive replacement courtesy of Apple.

Apparently drives in certain MacBooks of that generation shipped with defective drives — hence the free replacement thing. The program runs until August 15th or three years after you bought your MacBook (whichever lasts longer). [Register Hardware via Gizmodo]
