Make Five-Minute Sorbet In A Ziploc Bag

If you thought banana ice cream sounded appealing, a terry cloth monkey will teach you how to make sorbet with two freezer bags, ice, rock salt and whatever flavours you can dream up.

The five minutes, actually, is just the count for the furtive shaking you'll do, after placing a zippered bag full of fruit juices and other ingredients inside another bag with ice and rock salt. Then again, once you've done this a few times, you'll have the routine down to just five minutes and change. Boing Boing editor Xeni Jardin suggests throwing some coconut milk into the mix for a richer flavour. We're planning to take her up on that just as soon as we grab some rock salt from the garage.
