Hard Drive Prices Might Rise In 2010

We've become used to hard drive prices constantly falling and ridiculously cheap bargains showing up from time to time, but that doesn't mean such discounts will always be the case.

Over at APC, I've reported on how a lack of hard drive capacity amongst manufacturers might see revenues for manufacturers (and hence prices for consumers) go up somewhat in 2010. That doesn't mean we won't see ongoing capacity increases, but the traditional drop in cost per megabyte might pause briefly while manufacturing operations wait to catch up. All of which is a good reason to improve your skills in file management and system maintenance.
