One of the appealing features of Google Earth is the ability to add realistic 3D renderings of locations. We’ve already seen that for New York and large swathes of ocean; continuing that seemingly random approach, Melbourne has now got the 3D treatment.
The video above gives you a pretty healthy taste. It’s possible to build your own 3D layers to add to Google Earth; I assume someone is working on the Big Banana even as I type.
