Looks like the rumours, photos and leaks have been proven right. Google has announced an Android-focused press event for January 5, and the smart money's on the release, or at least announcement, of the availability of their own phone, the "Nexus One", which the Boy Genius Report hears will indeed be sold directly by Google.
