iPhone/iPod touch only: Evernote's iPhone App just got a beefed up with some new features that will make Evernote lovers swoon, including features like offline access to notebooks and the ability to search notes during a sync.
A new feature available to everyone is the ability to create notes on your iPhone and cache them for later access. New local search capabilities mean you can access your cached notes when you're offline, which is awesome if you're in a bad coverage area or can't get a Wi-Fi signal.
Now users can also search during a sync instead of getting an error message telling you to wait. In fact, sync has been given its own button now, so you've got more control over just when the deed gets done. Are you a fan of Audio Notes? Then you'll be thrilled to know you can yap twice as long now — up to 20 minutes.
Premium users get the option to download all your notebooks onto your device so you can access, edit and search them, no matter where you are and whether you have coverage or not. Evernote also added an option to upgrade to the Premium version from right within the app (hello, impulse purchasing for the impatient).
Check out what Evernote's developers have to say about all the changes in this version in their blog post — including speed boosts and more languages. Then, let us know what dream feature you're waiting for in the comments.
