Google Wave Sends Invites To First Round Of Invitees

Late last week Google started rolling out a new round of Wave invites to folks who were invited by the first 100,000 Wave users. That means that if you tried the dedicated Google Wave Invites web site and got lucky there, you've probably gotten your invite by now (or you will sometime soon).

All of the folks that I invited received their invites on Friday and Saturday, but interestingly, none of those new users are able to send out their own invitations. That probably means that the folks at Wave are busy putting out a lot of fires right now and aren't ready to open their doors to that kind of explosive growth of new users just yet, but if you made it in with their first round of invites, you should probably be getting your invite soon if you haven't already. If you did get one, let's hear about it in the comments.

what kind of time frame was there between you giving the invites, and they receiving?

I've just received my invitation to Google Wave.. woo hoo. It allows me to send out invites straight away but only gives a half-dozen or so. It might take a little while to get used to it though.

My invite took 5 business days and a weekend to come through from my friend.
Unfortunately I don't have invites to give yet, so tho cool, it is not much use to me until my primary contacts can be invited as well.

got my invite yesterday...loving it so far....not much fun without having friends who can help you play with this thing. Had 8 invites that I could give out which I have already passed on...hopefully a few of my friend will join soon and then I can fully explore this thing.

Well, the users that really need their own invites are the one that don't have any friends on wave yet. Those are also the ones least likely to be active...Catch-22, anyone?
