Digital TV Sales People Need More Training

Obviously concerned by the appearance of scammers pretending to be government representatives pushing conversion equipment, the government has rushed out a training scheme for retailers.

Under the scheme, sales staff with “digital expertise” will have a badge certifying that fact, and there’ll also be certification for antenna installers. There’s quite a big part of me that thinks anyone who can be bothered checking a badge wouldn’t get scammed in the first place, but given there’s still a fair chunk of the population clueless about digital TV, it’s a sensible step.
