While there is certainly no lack of music search engines and playlist builders, Meuzer is an easy to use entrant in the field that makes building and sharing mixes a breeze.
Left-clicking on any song you find via searching or browsing Meuzer brings up a diamond-shaped widget, as seen here, for rating, sharing, and queueing up your tracks. You can create an unlimited number of playlists and your friends can tag music they want to share with you which appears under the Tagged Playlist.
Exploring the genre tags gives you a chance to see songs in that genre based on most frequent plays, recent additions, random music from the genre and songs that are rising or falling in popularity. You can narrow your searches even further to see what is popular. Based on the networks people are using to share it, the most popular songs being shared by Twitter, for instance.
Meuzer currently relies on Facebook Connect for login and saving your playlists, so you’ll need a Facebook account to take advantage of the playlist creation and sharing features. Browsing and playback requires no login. Have a favourite way to discover new music and build a playlist or two? Sound off in the comments.
