iPhone/iPod touch: reQall, the speech-to-text-powered task manager, has updated its free iPhone app to push reminders and tasks to your phone at any time, along with a few welcome features for fans of the memory-jogging servce.
Along with the push notification, something we expect to see many other task management apps pick up on, reQall for iPhone 3.0 can show your to-dos on a map and add a location to a task with a tap on the map, instead of demanding a keyboard address entry. Recording a new task with your voice is now as simple as launching the app and raising your device to your ear, when it launches into automatic recording mode. And tasks or reminders with phone numbers, email addresses, or web sites contained in them can be acted on with linked app launchers.
reQall's mobile app is free for iPhone and iPod touch models running the iPhone 3.0 firmware; the service itself offers free and paid plans.
