Windows only: WinStep Nexus Dock has just about every feature you’d expect from a dock—it’s got widgets, mouse-over effects, skins, drag-and-drop, and even supports Vista Aero Glass effects.
The Nexus Dock is easy enough to install—and once you are finished you can start dragging and dropping your applications, or you can right-click on the dock and head into the preferences panel to start tweaking even further.
You’ll find the Leopard-style skin under the Themes tab, you’ll need to use the Position tab to move the dock to the bottom of the screen, and the Effects tab gives you the option to enable the Vista Aero blur effect. Readers should note that the clock gadget will actually *tell* you the time—you can disable that by right-clicking on the clock—otherwise it’s a fairly jarring surprise if you aren’t expecting it. There’s a lot more features and settings, including shortcut keys and PNG support—you’ll have to dig around in the settings to find them all.
Nexus Dock is a free download for Windows only. The download page allows you to download the dock separately from the full WinStep toolkit, so choose your download link accordingly.
