Evernote offers an option to clip just the text you’ve highlighted on any web page, but that’s not always convenient—or even possible, given the freakish ad layouts of some sites. With the combined power of Readability and Evernote, hitting a single bookmarklet converts the page into Readability’s eye-pleasing, text-only format, then quickly pops out Evernote to grab everything on the page—which is, of course, only text. It’s pretty smooth and painless on most sites.
To install the combined bookmarklet, copy the code from the post linked below, create a new bookmark in your browser (preferably on the bookmark/links bar), then paste the copied code into the “Location” or “Address” field. Name it what you’d like—we went with Readable EverClip—and enjoy a somewhat smoother text capture process.
