We’ve profiled image editors like previously mentioned Picnik and Phoenix, and while none have stolen industry leader Adobe Photoshop’s thunder, it’s still nice to have options. Today we’re adding web-based image editor Falcon to the fold.
Designed to work as a standalone editor or for use with its screen capture Firefox extension Talon, Aviary’s Falcon lets you edit text, crop, rotate, resize images, and more, all within your browser. The company boasts that because Falcon is under 90k in size, its speed is “blazing fast” (hence the falcon logo).
While the tool is pretty intuitive, you can hit up the Aviary Blog post for more details and to view a demo video. Aviary Falcon works on any browser with Adobe Flash 9 installed, though Flash 10 is recommended. If you have another image editor that you prefer, let us know about it in the comments.
