Windows Mobile 6: Fennec, Firefox’s mobile browser, inches closer to a widespread beta with the release of an alpha tested on an HTC Touch Pro, but available for download on any Windows Mobile 6 device.
We’ve previously seen a /”milestone release” of Fennec for the Touch Pro and select Nokia devices, but this alpha includes much more of what someone would actually want out of a mobile Firefox—namely, add-on support, much better memory management, and a CSS-based interface that allows for wider compatability.
Check out the video walk-through below for a look at what’s specific to this WinMo alpha, but head back and peek at the Nokia-only beta for a broader look at what Firefox wants to do on your phone.
Fennec Alpha 1 for Windows Mobile is a free download. Detailed installation instructions are available at the Fennec wiki page.
