Lauren Wilson at The Australian reports on a US study of 219 students which found that 68% of students using Facebook had a lower grade-point average than those who didn’t use Facebook. Note that the figure isn’t 100%, and there’s no direct correlation claimed: since almost a third of students managed to use Facebook while maintaining good results, that might well have more to do with individual discipline than with Facebook itself.
