Web application Picfont adds text to uploaded images, so you can quickly annotate an image from any computer—or just make fun pictures to share.
Using the tool is simple: Upload a picture or select a background canvas, then add in your text and position it where you want it on the picture. Once you’ve positioned the text, it renders into the background and you can add more. You can’t reposition the text, but you can undo the last change easily. Once you’re done, you can download the image or generate embed codes for easy sharing. This tool could be useful for quickly adding some comments to a screenshot, or putting a caption on a cat—your choice.
For a more full featured tool that also lets you create fake magazine covers or billboards, check out previously mentioned WriteOnIt, or create more fun mashups with Photofunia. If you are looking for a web-based image editor instead, check out previously mentioned Splashup or SUMO Paint.
