Hide Your HDTV In Style

Everybody's going bigger with the move to HDTVs, but the thinner footprint of flat panel televisions has opened up all kinds of creative methods for hiding the TV out-of-site when you're not using it.

Over at Apartment Therapy, they've detailed how to hide your HDTV by taking advantage of the unused space below a mantle. The post doesn't offer much in terms of a guide, but the idea is great, and the results are impressive—especially for folks who aren't keen on the way a big old TV can ugly up a room.

    Finally, a use for that video of a flickering fire I bought in the 80's :-p

    Looks like it might be a little low down for comfortable viewing.

    Warning to anyone doing this, make sure to provide for proper ventilation above and behind the TV, as they generate a lot of heat and without ventilation will burn out your TV prematurely.
    Also, don’t turn on your Fireplace, that's just stupid!
