Lifehacker Hits The Road

I'm going to be on a plane for a fair chunk of the day, so comments might take longer to get approved than normal. Normal service will resume late Thursday!

How is it the US version doesn't appear to moderate comments and yet they appear immediately and all look clean and inoffensive. I find this a huge encouragement to using the commenting.

Point taken. The US system requires commenters to be registered first, which makes it harder to leave random abuse, and there's also a bunch of interns constantly supervising the comments. We do intend to move to that kind of approach at some point but there's arguably more pressing development tasks (such as more sophisticated filtering of feeds).
